Why people come to us

“Normal” is not the same as well

A ten-minute appointment can only rule out disease. It was never designed to find the early drift — insulin creeping up, thyroid slipping, iron and vitamin D quietly low, inflammation rising, cardiovascular risk building a decade before anything is felt.

The Signature Health Screen is built for that window: detailed enough to catch what is beginning, and interpreted by a doctor who explains what it means for your next ten years — not just this month.

  • You are exhausted by 3pm and have learned to work around it.

  • Your bloods came back “normal”, but nothing about how you feel is normal.

  • Weight has shifted, sleep is broken, your cycle has changed — and no one has joined it up.

  • A parent's diagnosis has made you want to know your own numbers, honestly.

  • You are performing at a high level and cannot afford to find out too late.

If one of those is yours, this screen was designed for you.

The honest comparison

Most health screens test you. This one understands you.

Time with a doctor

15 minutes, often a nurse-led check

60 unhurried minutes with a GP

Who interprets results

Automated ranges, printed pack

Dr Lafina Diamandis, in person

Scope of testing

A standard panel

Cardio-metabolic, hormonal, thyroid, nutrient, inflammatory

Mental and emotional health

Rarely included

Assessed as part of the picture

What you leave with

Numbers and a leaflet

A written report and a personalised plan

Afterwards

“See your GP”

Follow-up consultation and onward referral if needed

What is included

A complete picture of your health, in a single morning

One inclusive fee: the consultation, examination, laboratory testing, written report, personalised plan and a follow-up consultation to talk it all through.

60 minutes and a full examination

Most missed diagnoses are missed in the history, not the lab.

  • Full history — symptoms, family history, work, stress, sleep and goals
  • Complete physical examination, including breast or testicular examination where appropriate
  • Blood pressure, BMI and waist-to-height ratio

Heart and metabolic risk

Cardiovascular and metabolic disease build silently for years — this is the window where it is still reversible.

  • Heart rhythm assessment and cardiovascular evaluation
  • Cardiovascular, diabetes and cancer risk profiling
  • Blood sugar and cardio-metabolic markers read together, not in isolation

Testing that goes further

The markers that explain fatigue, brain fog and stalled weight are usually the ones left off a standard panel.

  • Haematology, cardio-metabolic, thyroid and hormone profiling
  • Bone, liver and kidney health, plus the nutrient deficiencies most often missed
  • Inflammation and urine testing; personalised cancer screening guidance

Wellbeing, report and plan

Stress and mood change your bloods. Leaving them out makes the rest harder to interpret.

  • Emotional wellbeing and stress assessment
  • A written report with every result explained in plain language
  • A follow-up consultation and a personalised prevention plan

Signature Health Screen

£895

Consultation, examination, comprehensive testing, written report, plan and follow-up — all included. Mornings recommended, as testing is fasted.

Our methodology

Precision diagnostics, read through the six things that actually drive your health

Around 80% of chronic disease is shaped by how we live. So your results are never read in a vacuum: every marker is interpreted against your history, your family risk and the six pillars below — which is how a number becomes a cause, and a cause becomes something you can change.

Nutrition

What you eat sets your blood sugar, lipids and inflammation — the three levers behind most of what your results will show.

Movement

Muscle is where glucose goes. Building it changes insulin resistance faster than any supplement.

Sleep

Broken sleep raises cortisol and appetite hormones. Fix it and stubborn weight, mood and energy often move together.

Stress

Chronic stress drives blood pressure, cycle disruption and gut symptoms. It is a physiological finding, not a personality trait.

Connection

Isolation carries cardiovascular risk comparable to smoking. It belongs in a serious risk assessment.

Environment

Alcohol, nicotine, air quality and endocrine-disrupting exposures accumulate quietly. Reducing them lowers lifetime risk.

Genetics and family history sit underneath all six

Your inheritance sets the starting point, not the ending. Knowing where your family risk sits tells us which markers to watch closely, how early to act, and where prescribing — including HRT and other evidence-based medicine — is the right tool alongside the lifestyle work.

How it works

From questionnaire to written plan

  1. 1

    Before

    We prepare around you

A detailed pre-screen questionnaire so your appointment starts already informed, plus clear fasting and medication guidance.

  2. 2

    On the day

    60 unhurried minutes

History, symptoms and goals reviewed in full, then examination, observations, heart rhythm assessment and samples taken in clinic at 9 Harley Street.

  3. 3

    Within days

    Every result explained

A written report interpreting each finding in plain language — what is reassuring, what warrants attention, and what it means for the decade ahead.

  4. 4

    Then

A plan, and a doctor who stays

A follow-up consultation, a personalised prevention plan, onward referral into our multidisciplinary team where useful, and one named doctor holding your whole picture.

Your screening doctor

Dr Lafina Diamandis, GP & Lifestyle Medicine Physician

Patients usually arrive having already been told they are fine. What they want is someone who will look at the whole picture — symptoms, bloods, history, stress, hormones — and say plainly what is going on and what to do about it.

That is the work: conventional medicine done thoroughly, with lifestyle medicine used where it changes the outcome, and prescribing where it is genuinely the right answer. Every screen is conducted and interpreted personally — you are not handed to a nurse and a printout.

  • GMC-registered GP, 19 years in practice
  • Board certified in Lifestyle Medicine (BSLM)
  • Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners
  • Published author and health writer

Who it is for

Most people arrive for one of three reasons

01

You feel well and intend to stay that way

A detailed baseline now, while risk is still quiet and still yours to influence — then evidence it is moving the right way.

02

Something is off and no one has explained it

Fatigue, brain fog, stubborn weight, broken sleep, changing cycles or perimenopausal symptoms — and results you were told were normal.

03

You are protecting the decades ahead

Family history, a demanding career, or people who depend on you. You want the risks named, ranked and managed.
